Technical Measures of High Temperature Cultivation of Maitake

1. Cool down
Cooling measures must be taken to keep the temperature in the fruiting shed below 30°C, preferably between 20°C and 25°C. When the temperature in the furrow exceeds 25°C, the shade should be thickened, and double-layer sunshade nets can be used;
Extend the cooling time of water spraying outside the shed, between 10:00 am and 16:00 pm, depending on the situation, extend the water spraying cooling time as much as possible, or even spray water continuously; increase the number of water spraying and night ventilation in the shed.
2. Moisturizing
The air humidity in the shed should reach 85% to 95%. Spray water into the shed 3 to 4 times a day. When the temperature is high, increase the number of water sprays to maintain the humidity of the mushroom shed.The primordium cannot be watered directly on the primordium just before it is formed until it differentiates, let alone submerged in water. Spray with a sprayer or sprinkle water around the primordium to increase the humidity. It usually takes 3 to 5 days to complete the differentiation of the primordium.After that, it can be watered once a day, and the water can just flow from one end of the furrow to the other end without water accumulation.1-2 days before picking mushrooms, water should not be poured directly on the mushroom body, so as to ensure its proper water content and increase the commodity value.
3. Ventilation
After the primordium is formed, the demand for oxygen increases, and the ventilation can be enhanced when the temperature is low at night to reduce the carbon dioxide content in the shed. Ventilation must be carried out in combination with water management, and the film is lifted up between water sprays, and ventilated for 0.5 to 1 hour. The newly formed primordia should avoid vents.
4. Lighting
After the primordia are formed, strong scattered light is needed, which can be combined with ventilation measures to allow scattered light to enter. With strong light, the caps of chestnut mushrooms are dark in color and strong in fragrance.
